Types of players
When players are created, they are categorised to determine what type of bowler they would be if they had skills in that area.
Type of bowler
There are 5 different types of bowlers. Each type of bowler performas slightly differently depending on the pitch type and other factors:
- Fast
- Fast Medium
- Medium
- Spin (wrist)
- Spin (finger)
Type of batsman
Today, all batsmen are created equal.
When Battrick began years ago, there were 3 broad categories of batsman:
- Top Order
- Middle Order
- Lower Order
The player would bat more effectively if he was named in the right spot in the batting order.
However, managers were unable to see which variety of batsman their player was (it was not displayed on the player's page) - as a result of the confusion and inability to manage this aspect effectively, BT-Allan disabled this functionality - or did he? ;)
